2004 Kilikanoon Grenache / Shiraz Killerman's Run 750ml - $13.99
Wine Advocate, Oct 2006, 92 points: "This beauty reminded me of one of the Wine Advocate's great value picks from the late 1970s ... Chateau Souverain's 1974 Vintage Selection. Just as sexy and opulent, but made from a completely different blend, the 2004 Killerman's Run Shiraz/Grenache (60% of the former and 40% of the latter) comes from older vineyards in the Clare, Barossa, and Baroota valleys. This is a voluptuous Aussie red offering loads of cassis and black raspberry fruit along with small quantities of pepper and roasted Provencal herbs, and an opulent, full-throttle, beautifully pure, layered, impressively endowed style. Drink it over the next 3-4 years."
2004 Kilikanoon Medley Proprietary Red Proprietary Blend 750ml - $23.99
Wine Advocate, Oct 2006, 93 points: "The 2004 GSM The Medley, a blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, and 10% Mourvedre, spent 24 months in old French and American 300 liter hogsheads. Rich and ripe, with fabulous aromas of roasted herbs, chocolate, blackberries, cherries, and pepper, this opulent, full-bodied wine possesses silky tannin, decent acidity, and a voluptuous, fleshy mouthfeel. Drink this liquid Viagra over the next 5-7 years."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz Testament Syrah 750ml - $32.99
Wine Advocate, Oct 2006, 95 points: "From the Barossa sub-regions of Greenock and Vinevale, the fabulous 2004 Shiraz Testament exhibits this varietal's more scorched earth/volcanic side with blackberry liqueur, creosote, pepper, espresso roast, and singed leather characteristics. Opulent, with sensational fruit, a thick, unctuous attack and mid-palate, and a long finish of over a minute, this stunning Shiraz should be at its best in 3-4 years, and age for two decades."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz Attunga 1865 Syrah 750ml - $159.99
Wine Advocate, Jan 2006, 98 points: "A new offering, the 2004 Shiraz Attunga 1865 comes from a Clare Valley vineyard planted in 1865. According to Kevin Mitchell, it is the oldest commercially active vineyard still producing in the Clare Valley. Aged 25 months in 100% new French hogsheads, this is a single vineyard cuvee of extraordinary elegance (rather than power). It is amazing to see how this old vine Shiraz fruit has resulted in a wine that is very linear, deep purple-colored, with notes of creosote, blueberries, crushed rocks, and acacia flowers. While it possesses extraordinary richness, what the taster gets is a sense of definition, elegance, finesse, and tremendous intensity. It appears to be seamlessly constructed, but I suspect more tannin will emerge once it has had some time in a cold cellar. It will be fascinating to follow this wine's evolution over the next two decades."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz Covenant Syrah 750ml - $31.99
Wine Advocate, Oct 2006, 94 points: "The spectacular 2004 Shiraz Covenant, essentially declassified fruit not used for the Shiraz Oracle, spent 22 months in 80% French and 20% American 300 liter hogsheads. In fact, Kilikanoon does not use any small barrels, preferring the larger 300 liter vessels. Perhaps that accounts for the glorious levels of fruit and subtle oak influence in even the more expensive cuvees that are aged in 100% new oak. The dense, plum/purple-hued, full-bodied Shiraz Covenant exhibits notes of tapenade, blackberries, asphalt, truffles, and roasted meats. With a gorgeous texture as well as good opulence, vibrancy, and definition, it can be consumed over the next 7-10 years."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz Green's Vineyard Syrah 750ml - $79.99
Wine Advocate, Jan 2006, 98 points: "The 2004 Shiraz Greens Vineyard, which emerges from the Vinevale sub-region of Barossa, was cropped at one ton of fruit per acre, aged in 100% new French hogsheads, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Representing the essence of the vineyard, and looking more like blood than wine, it possesses an inky/purple color as well as a beautiful bouquet of roasted meats, blackberries, cherries, and jus de viande, a brilliant mid-palate and finish, and a tremendously long, blockbuster mouthfeel that saturates the palate. Some tasters may feel it is too much of a good thing, but it is incredibly pure, brilliantly well-balanced, and will become more civilized with time in the bottle. It should easily keep for 20-25 years."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz M Reserve Syrah 750ml - $79.99
Wine Advocate, Jan 2006, 98 points: "A new offering, the 2004 Shiraz M Reserve, aged in 80% French and 20% American oak hogsheads (40% new) for 24 months, was neither fined nor filtered. A monumental example of Shiraz, it is as dark and opaque as a moonless night. Revealing gorgeous notes of roasted herbs, blackberries, sweet cherries, plums, fennel, new saddle leather, and a hint of toasty oak, this full-bodied, powerful, still young and backward 2004 will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age, and should drink well for two decades or more."
2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz R Reserve Syrah 750ml - $79.99
Wine Advocate, Oct 2006, 96 points: "The 2004 Shiraz R Reserve comes from the Greenock's Crowhurst Vineyard as well as a small parcel in Vinevale. Aged 27 months in 100% new French 300 liter hogsheads, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is an opaque purple-hued, backward, but super-concentrated, full-bodied effort with enormous potential. I would not be surprised to see it age like a Hermitage from France's Rhone Valley. Give it 5-6 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 20-25 years."
2006 Kilikanoon Riesling Morts Reserve 750ml - $19.99
Wine Advocate, Jan 2006, 91 points: "The 2006 Riesling Mort's Reserve was closed and difficult to access, but it exhibited impressive early potential with steely green apple and grapefruit notes intermixed with stone fruits, and presented in a dry, austere style."
